Blog post from the day.

June 18

OK, it’s 530 or 1738 depending on we ask I am at new train station where the hell that is it’s in Wales on the West Coast. I’m waiting for the final transfer train to drive to Shrewsbury. I drove all the way down from Edinburgh well from Chorley today. Almost died this morning pulling out of the farm where I slept. It was so bad I looked to the left and no one was coming, but in England, they come from the right so this car is wore out of the way I mean, I didn’t shake me up so I guess that was good but I was really bad. I also was wearing my sandals instead of my boots so I missed the brake twice so that was absolutely terrified, but we’re still here and we made it all the way down.

Got an English practice, which is actually pretty good egg was good. The bacon was like half ham half bacon bread was whatever I had. The beans beans were as you would expect. I don’t know. I guess it was good. Just kind of strange and then the sausage the sausage was like soft. It wasn’t like firm. Honestly, I think American sauce is better.

So yeah, I was just driving and driving driving
All the way down just kind of listen to a few podcast looking through. It’s a lot of driving today which is fine, but it was beautiful getting to hang out the manual and I think you are comfortable after the first day or whatever then you can kind of know coast, and then guess what Gear you should be in when you try to pick it up and the roundabouts here they kind of give you a challenge keep you on your toes cause they like linked up multiple roundabouts in in a row you kinda have to like sway back-and-forth between them and there’s like 22 lanes when you’re incoming to the roundabout and if you’re going on like you’re getting off
If you’re getting off on the second leg of the roundabout, then I guess you need to be in the right lane and then if you’re just going left, basically you have left way and then they also have this weird thing where there’s like a really narrow pathway and then cars will line up on the other side and like they’ll all go and then I’ll just wait and then I’ll go like only one car can wait but that was pretty intuitive so it wasn’t too bad .

So I finally got all the way down to the station at the Bristol Airport and the guy was really nice, but let’s say they do a more thorough inspection of the car more over here and then the U.S. .
The guy really took a look around and kick the tires and let’s say I roped one or three curbs on the left side on the first day so he had to take pictures and put that out so yeah that’s fine but I guess the guy signed signed me up for insurance so that completely saved everything and it was completely free so that was a good way to end it Absolutely beautiful

I got a cab to the train station and got the ticket and everything so that went smoothly
Do not take the
Do not take the train if you can it’s I mean, unless you wanna experience it from going from Edinburgh to this is it extremely Harry Potter? It’s it’s I mean this is you know obviously all the Harry Potter Phantom millennials and they’re all old now but I mean, if if I came to like Edinburgh and like rode the trains and did all of that when I like Harry Potter phrase I would I would be beside myself. It would be absolutely incredible because there’s so much inspiration like I felt it really does feel like like Hogwarts very magical very very good.
